The site we wanted to use
CookMate started because we kept throwing out half-used bags of lentils, wilting spinach, and cans of things we bought “for a recipe” and never used again. So we started building the site we actually wanted: recipes that work with what is already in the kitchen, not what is trending.
How we work
Every CookMate recipe is written for a real home kitchen: clear measurements, practical timing, and substitutions that are meant to help when an ingredient is missing. We keep refining the site around the questions that make cooking easier on an ordinary weeknight.
What we’re not
We are not nutritionists or dietitians. Calorie and macro numbers on each recipe are estimates to help with planning, not medical guidance. If you have allergies or a health condition, check with someone qualified.
Where we’re headed
CookMate is still growing. We are adding recipes, guides, and ingredient pages every week, focused on the meals people actually cook on a Tuesday night, not just the ones that photograph well.
Independence
CookMate may earn from advertising in future. That does not decide which recipes we create or how we write them.
